The Bears agreed to terms on a two-year deal with backup offensive lineman Bradley Sowell, who was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.
Sowell, who will be 29 in June, started the final two games last year because of injuries and showed the versatility to play guard and tackle. He replaced left guard Josh Sitton in Week 16 and then stepped in at right tackle for Bobby Massie in the season finale.
The 6-foot-7, 309-pound six-year veteran has been primarily a tackle in the past, and he started nine games for the Seahawks in 2016, including six at left tackle and three at right tackle.
