BYU football versatile senior Zayne Anderson gives defense options

If you think about it, it initially might not make a lot of sense for the BYU football defense to take its fifth-leading tackler and team leader in interceptions from 2017 and move him to a new position for 2018.

But there is no doubt that the Cougars need as many playmakers as possible and that's what senior Zayne Anderson (61 tackles, three forced fumbles, two interceptions last year) could be -- either at his old position at safety or at his new position at linebacker.

"We think he is one of the best players on the defense, so he needs to be playing," BYU defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki said earlier this week.
