Senior Jill Townsend scored 19 points, draining four threes in the process, as the Gonzaga Bulldogs took down the San Francisco Dons, 79-66.
Jenn Wirth added 14 points and nine rebounds, and Kayleigh Truong chipped in 11 points. In total, 10 different Zags scored, as is the Gonzaga way nowadays.
However, despite the win, the Zags got worked on a few factors of the game. The Zags really couldn’t get anything running against the Dons, finishing with just one fastbreak point. San Francisco, on the other hand, finished with 12 fast break points.
The Dons also made a good showing because the Zags turnover issues flared up in a pretty dramatic way this game.
