Behind the scenes: Why Steve Ensminger (finally) took the LSU OC job and, more importantly, what he’ll do with it

Amy Ensminger waited outside.

This was a father and son talk. It was a kid, Steven Ensminger Jr., trying to convince a dad, Steve Ensminger, to take the leap — accept the challenge, embrace the unknown.

That leap: be a permanent, full-time offensive coordinator for the first time in 20 years.
