The University of Wisconsin football staff didn’t plan on allowing Quintez Cephus to practice this spring.
Cephus continues to work his way back from a broken leg that prematurely ended his breakout sophomore season on Nov. 4 at Indiana. As the wide receiver continued to increase his individual work on the sidelines of the McClain Center over the past month, however, he began wondering why he couldn’t join his teammates.
“They didn’t want me to do any of it (this spring),” Cephus said. "But just me wanting to be out here — I could run, I was basically doing everything on the side.
