Badgers football: Jonathan Taylor, T.J. Edwards lead award winners at Wisconsin's end-of-year banquet

The University of Wisconsin football team handed out more than a dozen awards at its annual end-of-the-year banquet Friday night.

The Badgers' 13-member senior class shared Team MVP honors, while running back Jonathan Taylor and inside linebacker T.J. Edwards won the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards, respectively.

UW named kicker Rafael Gaglianone the Special Teams Player of the Year. Right tackle David Edwards (offense), inside linebacker Ryan Connelly (defense) and kicker Zach Hintze (special teams) won Most Improved Player awards.

Tight end Jake Ferguson won Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year, while linebacker Griffin Grady and safety Scott Nelson shared that honor on defense.
