AUBURN — There’s no rule or law that Auburn’s head coach has to announce what he’s doing with his starting quarterback for the spring game.
So, Gus Malzahn isn’t going to say.
The tens of thousands that show up for the A-Day spring game next weekend will likely find out together whether Jarrett Stidham will play despite the junior quarterback returning to throw with the first-team offense.
“Not ready to make that call yet. We’ll see this week,” Malzahn said.
Despite not having an opponent until Auburn opens the season in September against Washington in Atlanta, Malzahn has maintained a similar level of secrecy over his program this spring.
