Jeremy Pruitt took a familiar face to Knoxville.
The first-year Tennessee head coach announced the hiring of Alabama offensive analyst Chris Weinke as his running backs coach Wednesday, reuniting the Heisman Trophy winner with the former Crimson Tide defensive coordinator.
"He has played the game at the highest level and what he has accomplished on the field speaks for itself,” Pruitt was quoted as saying in a news release. “He is also an outstanding coach and teacher of the game, coaching in the NFL, in college this past season and at the high school level.
