No smiles. No congratulatory hugs. No soliloquies of appreciation for a second-place run.
The authors of arguably the most impressive two-year turnaround in college baseball weren’t in the mood to reflect on it.
Purdue wanted to win.
And that’s the mindset the Boilermakers (37-19) take into this weekend as the No. 2 seed in an NCAA regional with ACC power North Carolina. They aren’t satisfied just because they’ve made it this far.
