Domantas Sabonis and the rest of the Lithuanian team will have time to relax on the beaches of Rio now after they lost to Australia, 90-64, on Wednesday morning.
Australia jumped out to a 26-17 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, spurred by 24 points from Patty Mills. It was a truly disappointing finish for the Lithuanian team, who started out the Olympics going a promising 3-0, but lost their final two games in the group stage before making an early exit.
For Gonzaga fans, it was another game where Sabonis wasn’t able to do too much.
