NAPA, Calif. – Brendan Steele is looking to go wire to wire and capture his second career PGA Tour title Sunday at the Frys.com Open. Here’s what You Oughta Know heading into the final round at Silverado:
• Steele doesn’t have much experience in the winner’s circle, but he’s 1-for-1 when holding at least a share of the 54-hole lead. At the 2011 Valero Texas Open, he led by one over Cameron Tringale after three rounds. He shot 71 on the final day and won by the same margin.
• Rocco Mediate (2010) is the only wire-to-wire winner in tournament history.
