Tiger Woods announced Friday that he underwent a second back surgery and will be out until early 2016.
In a post on his website, Woods said that he had microdiscectomy surgery Wednesday in Utah to remove a small disc fragment that was pinching his nerve.
Woods was scheduled to play the Frys.com Open, America’s Golf Cup and Hero World Challenge. Though Woods said he is expected to make a full recovery, he said he will be unable to return until “early in 2016.”
