Woods' status for Masters remains uncertain

Tiger Woods’ status for next week’s Masters remains uncertain, according to his manager.

In an email to GolfChannel.com, Mark Steinberg said there was “no further update at the moment” when asked how Woods was recovering from a second back procedure late last year and whether he planned to play the year’s first major.

In October, Woods underwent a follow-up back procedure to “relieve discomfort” following his second microdiscectomy in September that corrected a pinched nerve.

Last month, Woods released a video on social media hitting a 9-iron with the caption, “progressing nicely.” A week later he told reporters he didn’t know when he would return to the PGA Tour.
