PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Just hours after Tiger Woods announced he would not be returning to the PGA Tour at this week’s Safeway Open, he was on property at Spyglass Hill Golf Course to host a three-day amateur event that benefits his foundation.
According to various sources at Spyglass Hill, Woods did not play in the event on Monday nor was he seen hitting golf balls on the range.
He’s scheduled to host a reception dinner Monday evening in Monterey and will hold a clinic on Tuesday at Monterey Peninsula Country Club for the participants of the event.
