SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Tiger Woods’ slim hopes of making the cut at the PGA Championship lasted only a few minutes Saturday morning.
Needing to get up and down from the back of the 14th green, he hit a flop shot to about 20 feet and raced his par putt 7 feet past. The bogey dropped him to 5 over par, three off the cut line, and essentially eliminated any chance of continuing to play this weekend at Whistling Straits.
Though he played his last four holes in 1 under, it was too little, much too late.
