GAINESVILLE, Fla. –– South Florida junior Rigel Fernandes loves the game of golf. But that affection hasn’t always been as passionate as its current state.
Last fall, Fernandes not only struggled with his game, but with his commitment to his craft.
“I was a little bit burnt out at the end of the fall and I had to sort of rededicate myself to why I love the game and why I practice,” said Fernandes, who won the SunTrust Gator Invitational Sunday by four shots while leading the Bulls to its second straight team title in the event.
