Several Ping staff players such as Billy Horschel, Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson began taking out their Ping Tour wedges with Gorge Grooves and putting a prototype wedge into play in October.
Watson let part of the cat out of the bag Dec. 22 by tweeting a photo of his prototype wedges to his 1.3 million Twitter followers, calling them Glide wedges. The word Glide was stamped on the back of each of the three wedges in the photo.
Ping officially released the Glide wedges, along with the details about the clubs, on Monday.
The wedges will cost $140 with CFS Wedge steel shafts ($160 with graphite shafts) when they reach retail in mid-February.
