Wild Presidents Cup match ends in halve with Mickelson, Day in mix

INCHEON, South Korea — There was a little bit of everything in Friday’s four-ball match between Americans Zach Johnson and Phil Mickelson and the International squad of Jason Day and Adam Scott – except for a winner. The match ended all square on the second day of the Presidents Cup at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.

Coming in with momentum after defeating Australians Steven Bowditch and Day in foursomes on Thursday, the USA duo started quickly, winning the second hole to go 1 up.

Keeping the momentum would be difficult with the reigning PGA Champion, Day, recording back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes to take the first International lead of the match.
