Wiesberger, Hebert lead early at Porsche European Open

Bernd Wiesberger and Benjamin Hebert posted matching 7-under 64s on Thursday and they were enough to share the lead Thursday at the Porsche European Open.

The Bad Griesbach Golf Resort welcomed low scores during the first round, as 73 players shot sub-70 rounds, and 18 players came in at 66 or better.

But none were as potent as the duo at the top.

Wiesberger's score arose later in the day, after Hebert was already in the clubhouse, and he did it by staying out of trouble.

The Austrian was bogey-free in his opening round and birdied three of his last four holes - including a seven-footer at the last - to match Hebert's mark.
