DALY CITY, Calif. – Michelle Wie withdrew from the Swinging Skirts Classic after 15 holes Sunday at Lake Merced Golf Club.
Wie cited neck spasms as the reason for her WD. She was 11 over after 15 holes when she withdrew.
Wie missed the cut last week at the Lotte Championship in her native Hawaii. She has missed the cut or withdrawn in four of the seven full-field events she has played this year with her best finish a T-25 at the Coates Golf Championship.
It has been a tough week for LPGA pros with Wie one of eight players to withdraw from the Swinging Skirts Classicbecause of illness (stomach pain).
