After hanging around in the first round of the WGC-Mexico Championship 2018, Shubhankar Sharma used the second round to grab control of the leaderboard and put himself in prime position as the weekend heats up.
Louis Oosthuizen shot an impressive seven-under 71 on Wednesday to hold the lead after the opening round, but he was unable to duplicate that effort as he dropped back into a logjam. Even though he surrendered the lead, he still finds himself in contention after an even-par Friday.
