The 2018 WGC-Dell Match Play tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 21, pitting 64 of the world's top golfers against each other in an unusual but exciting format.
Since 2015, the tournament has worked with a pool-play format in the opening rounds, with the winners of the 16 groups playing out a single-elimination bracket during the weekend. The round of 16 and quarter-finals will take place on Saturday, and the tournament wraps up on Sunday.
The unusual format has served up several spectacular contests in the last few years, including in 2017, when Dustin Johnson beat Jon Rahm one-up in the final.
