DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Wendy Doolan shot a 3-under 69 in windy conditions Saturday to take the first-round lead in The Legends Tour's Walgreens Charity Championship.
The 47-year-old Australian won three LPGA Tour titles. She's now a teaching professional in Lakeland.
''I like the challenge of the wind and it actually keeps it interesting,'' Doolan said. ''I think it's boring to play golf with no wind. I like to be creative and the wind allows me to do that.''
Lisa Grimes was second at 70, and Hall of Famer Juli Inkster shot a 71 at Seagate Country Club.
