PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Adam Hadwin could qualify for the WGC-Match Play with either a win or a runner-up finish Sunday at the Valspar Championship.
But it won’t matter. He won’t be in Austin.
Hadwin, a 29-year-old Canadian, is getting married March 24 – during the third day of the Match Play.
“The wedding will happen,” he said with a laugh.
Hadwin and his fiancée, Jessica, are supposed to begin their honeymoon to French Polynesia two days later, but that could be rescheduled.
If he converts this four-shot lead into his first PGA Tour victory – and qualifies for his first Masters – then he’ll need that time to prepare for Augusta.
