Webb Simpson gets pranked with locker nameplates at U.S. Open

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Brian Campbell didn’t tee off until 3:01 p.m. in his opening round at Chambers Bay, so he did what any college-age kid would do to kill time. He went to the 10 o’clock showing of "Jurassic World" and slept in as late as possible.

It worked, as Campbell rode a hot putter to seven birdies in recording a 3-under 67 that matched the best opening round by an amateur at the U.S. Open since Mike Reid opened with 67 to lead the championship in 1976.

The 22-year-old Campbell, a recent graduate from the University of Illinois, is making his second U.
