Wealth advisor Brad Wilder among semifinalists at U.S. Mid-Amateur

VERO BEACH, Fla. –– The 35th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship is down to four players, all fresh names and faces on the scene, and the competition is wide open.

Advancing through Wednesday's morning quarters were Sammy Schmitz, 35, a regional director for a healthcare services company from Farmington, Minn.; Brad Wilder, 36, a wealth advisor from Fort Wright, Ky.; David Bolen, 36, a dental sales manager from Lubbock, Texas; and Marc Dull, 29, who caddies at Streamsong, by way of Lakeland, Fla., about 100 miles east of John’s River Club’s West Course.

Schmitz will play Wilder in the first afternoon semifinal, with Dull facing Bolen.
