DORAL, Fla. - Two players came to Miami for the WGC- Cadillac Championship off a winner’s high: Adam Scott, last week’s victor at The Honda Classic, and Bubba Watson, who tallied a one-stroke win at the Northern Trust Open.
That, along with their major champion credentials, may explain why both are near or on top of the leaderboard after 36 holes. But for Watson, Trump National Doral is maybe one of the best stops for him, even though he hasn’t won there before.
For a player that admittedly is never settled over a shot and whose feet move more than a grasshopper, the water-laden Doral would not seem the place for the man from Bagdad, Fla.
