EDISON, N.J. – On a tour known for deliberate play Bubba Watson is far from habitually slow.
In fact, Watson is one of the PGA Tour’s faster players, which is why he found it so amusing when a rules official assessed him a “bad time” on Friday at The Barclays.
Watson said he received the bad time for taking a little over a minute to hit his third shot on the par-5 16th hole when he was allotted 40 seconds to play the shot.
“I told them, ‘I'm not mad at anybody about the bad timing.
