CARMEL, Ind. – No matter what he tried, Dustin Johnson couldn't get his putts to start on the line he intended.
Playing four rounds over the past two weeks with Jason Day convinced him that it was time to make a putter change.
“I saw him make enough putts,” Johnson said, “and I was like, well, I’ve got to try one at least. So I put it in play and been rolling it pretty good.”
As well as he has all season, in fact.
At 14-under 130, Johnson is off to the best start in his PGA Tour career and tied for the halfway lead at the BMW Championship with Roberto Castro.
