Just when it looked like Zach Johnson had put Phil Mickelson in a difficult spot at the par-3 13th, Mickelson went ahead and won the hole for the United States anyway.

The birdie put Mickelson and Johnson 2 up on Jason Day and Steven Bowditch. The U.S. would go on to win, 2 up through 18 holes, with Mickelson recording the 11th foursomes match win of his Presidents Cup career, tying Tiger Woods for the most all-time.
