Jack Nicklaus couldn't have asked for more excitement from the first of two events at Muirfield Village.
Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa battled their way into a playoff Sunday at the Workday Charity Open, and on the first playoff hole, the par-4 finisher, traded a couple of monumental blows.
First it was Thomas, who drove it into a tough lie in the right rough and then hacked one onto the back-left part of the green. Facing 50 feet, Thomas didn't just lag the putt close, he buried it for birdie.
"C'mon!" Thomas yelled.
