Walker, Koepka make big U.S. Ryder Cup moves

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – A breakthrough win at the PGA Championship also means that Jimmy Walker will make a return appearance at the Ryder Cup.

At No. 29 in points, Walker was well off the Hazeltine radar entering the week, but he raced to No. 4 in the standings thanks to his first major title, a one-shot victory over Jason Day at Baltusrol Golf Club.

It means that Walker, who went 1-1-3 in his Ryder Cup debut two years ago at Gleneagles, is assured of a spot on the American team this fall.
