Voges targets clubfitters with lawsuit over launch technology

ORLANDO, Fla. – Former U.S. Amateur champion Mitch Voges is not attending the PGA Merchandise Show here this week, but two lawsuits filed by his company got the attention of golf club manufacturers at this annual industry gathering.

Max Out Golf, a clubfitting company owned by Voges and headquartered in Sherman Oaks, Calif., has identified several competitors that Voges claims violate two Max Out patents.

His attorneys, Howard & Howard of Chicago, filed lawsuits in the Eastern U.S. District Court of Texas against two companies: Cool Clubs and Worldwide Golf. Max Out Golf alleges two counts of patent infringement on a device registered as "System and methods for fitting golf equipment.
