Viewing guide for final round of U.S. Open at Chambers Bay

It's the final round of the U.S. Open, with all sorts of drama brewing. Here’s what to look for from the vantage point of a comfortable couch:

1. Par-5 finish: The much-discussed experiment of alternating pars on the first and 18th holes turned out to be less than stellar. The first hole is better as a demanding 496-yard par 4 than as a mild 598-yard par-5 and vice versa, the 18th hole plays much better as a 604-yard par 5 than as a 525-yard par-4 (where there’s virtually no landing area for the tee shot. So that’s how they’ll play today, 4/5, which could make for a very exciting finish.
