With Jason Day roaring out to an early lead at the BMW Championship, and Jordan Spieth hot on his heels after an opening-round ace, it's easy to forget about Rory McIlroy. But the Ulsterman is again atop the world rankings, and Friday he authored a shot that reminded everyone how he got there. After a tee shot left him only 44 yards short of the green on the par-4 seventh, McIlroy hit a short pitch that bounced three times before dropping for an eagle:

The shot took McIlroy to 3 under on his round, 6 under for the week and inside the top 10 as he looks to improve his FedEx Cup standing heading into the season-ending Tour Championship.
