PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. –– When John Crooks brought the Campbell women's golf team together, he noticed his three golfers from the southern hemisphere came back to school without tans.
"They just came in from wintertime," said Crooks of Tahnia Ravnjack and Nadine White of Australia and Ayelen Irizar of Argentina. "They hadn't played in a lot of competition.
"During our early practices there was a little rust. But they got their tans, and with their tans came their confidence."
After knocking off the rust in the first round, the Camels surged to a 12-shot victory over Old Dominion at the 2015 Golfweek Program Challenge at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club.
