CHASKA, Minn. – It was a surreal image, Tiger Woods tooling around Hazeltine National in a golf cart, doling out advice, talking strategy with U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III and assisting wherever he could.
While Woods' overall impact may not be known for some time, his presence has already been beneficial for a guy like Patrick Reed.
On Tuesday, during the team’s first practice round, high winds kept most players from going all 18 holes, but Reed wanted to see Hazeltine National’s closing nine.
“All right, well, let’s go,” Woods said to Reed.
