SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – The 96th PGA Championship is looking like another major victory for Dustin Johnson, if you believe the Las Vegas bookmakers.
Installed as an 8-1 favorite, Johnson will be pursuing his second major title in five weeks after having won the U.S. Open win at Oakmont last month.
Coming down the stretch last week at the RBC Canadian Open, the long-hitting Johnson had a chance to win. He tied for second, one shot behind the 12-under winning total of Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas.
It was Johnson’s eighth career runner-up finish and the 66th time that he has finished in the top 10 since 2008.
