The PGA Tour is packing up at Pebble Beach, but the famed layout will be back in the spotlight this summer.
The U.S. Open is now just four months away, with Pebble Beach set to host the tournament for the fifth time and first since 2010. Just before Phil Mickelson wrapped up his victory at the weather-delayed AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the USGA released its schedule for 18-hole local qualifying, which will be held at 110 different sites across 43 states and Canada.
Any professional or amateur with a handicap of 1.4 or better is eligible to enter a local qualifier, with the best players from each site advancing to 36-hole sectional qualifiers later this summer.
