LANCASTER, Pa. – The U.S. Women’s Open will be played with possible record crowds this weekend.
The USGA expects as many as 25,000 could be on the grounds at Lancaster Country Club on Saturday and again on Sunday.
USGA executive director Mike Davis said his organization briefly considered declaring this week’s championship a sellout. No U.S. Women’s Open has ever been played as a sellout.
