ST. LEON-ROT, Germany – This won’t be your average Sunday at the Solheim Cup. So much hangs in the balance that, right now, singles is almost an afterthought.
The U.S. won the first match of the Saturday fourball session and Europe leads the Solheim Cup, 8-5, before darkness suspended play. Three matches remain on the course at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club. The U.S. leads two of those matches, 1 up, and Europe leads the other match by the same score.
Essentially, the score can range anywhere from an 11-5 European route to an 8-8 tie when the session ends early Sunday.
