After rain suspended play Thursday, the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club featured some unorthodox playing schedules for many players Friday, as some finished their first rounds and proceeded to start on their next 18 holes.
Those who did not finish Thursday completed Round 1 early Friday. Then, players such as Jordan Spieth and Day 1 leader Andrew Landry were done for the day, while Jason Day and Dustin Johnson were forced to return to the course for Round 2.
The remainder of the players will finish the second round Saturday, when a cut line will be established.
