Team World tried its hardest but it couldn't repeat the European Ryder Cup miracle at Medinah in 2012.
The United States opened Sunday singles of the ISPS Handa Cup with an eight-point lead, and although the margin dwindled, the Americans eventually held on to win, 26-22.
“It was a pleasure to play with these great champions on the LPGA Tour and now on the Legends Tour," U.S. Team captain Nancy Lopez said. “I’m just happy Team U.S.A. came out on top.”
The Europeans stormed out fast at Palm Aire Country Club, winning five of seven matches to cut a 16-8 deficit all the way down to 20-18.
