PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Charley Hoffman didn’t blink making triple bogey while on his way to the top of the leaderboard Thursday at The Players Championship.
Hoffman shot 5-under-par 67 despite making a 7 at the first hole, his 10th hole of the day.
“I've made enough triple bogeys in my life, I'm not going to let it ruin my day too much,” Hoffman said. “And I'm probably going to make a few more in my lifetime. It's one of those things, first round of the tournament, sort of took it with a grain of salt, knew there were plenty of birdies out there.
