Tseng (65) in weekend contention at Manulife LPGA

Yani Tseng will be looking to build on another promising flash of form.

Tseng’s 7-under-par 65 Friday at the Manulife LPGA Classic moved the former Rolex world No. 1 into contention heading into the weekend. Tseng was at 11 under overall and in third place when she signed her scorecard, just two shots off the lead. It was her lowest round since she shot a 63 at the Safeway Classic in August of 2013.

“It feels pretty good,” Tseng said. “I was bogey free today, and I hit my driver very good out there.
