Donald Trump will be at the WGC-Cadillac Championship next week but in a much-reduced role compared to his previous involvement.
Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner who purchased Doral in 2012, told Golfweek (via the Miami Herald): "I’ll be there very limited because I have the Secret Service. But I’ll be there.”
Trump in previous years has been a prominent fixture of the event. In 2015, he sent a diver into one of the Blue Monster's lakes to recover Rory McIlroy's sunken 3-iron.
On Tuesday's edition of "Morning Drive," Golf Channel Insider Tim Rosaforte outlined what is more likely in store for Trump this time around.
