Donald Trump blasted the Scottish government as “foolish, small minded and parochial” after Britain’s Supreme Court unanimously rejected Trump’s appeal to stop an offshore wind farm from being built near his luxury resort.
The legal battle began in 2013, when the Scottish government green-lighted an 11-turbine farm off the coast. Trump and his lawyers argued that the customers at his resort would see the farm from some of the holes and that it could prevent future development.
“History will judge those involved unfavorably and the outcome demonstrates the foolish, small minded and parochial mentality which dominates the current Scottish government’s dangerous experiment with wind energy,” the Trump Organization said in a statement.
