FRENCH LICK, Ind. (AP) -- Trish Johnson beat Juli Inkster with a par on the sixth hole of a playoff Sunday in The Legends Championship.
Johnson and Inkster each shot 1-under 71 to finish regulation at 5-under 139 on the Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort. The playoff was the longest in the history of the 16-year-old Legends Tour.
''I wish I could say I enjoyed that, but I really didn't,'' Johnson said. ''It was a battle for survival at the end.''
Johnson earned $37,000 for her first Legends title. The 50-year-old English player won three times on the LPGA Tour.
