Through 12 holes in his final round, Cameron Tringale found himself on top of the leaderboard and in position to lock down his first PGA Tour victory.
And then he hit his drive on the par-4 13th.
Tringale blew his ball right into the trees, played his second off wood chips, missed the green, and failed to get up-and-down. Rather than take advantage of a wide fairway and TPC Louisiana's fifth-easiest hole, Tringale walked away with a bogey that zapped all his momentum.
He made par on his next four holes and left himself needing an eagle-3 on the par-5 18th to force a playoff with Rose.
