When people see a pro at a PGA Tour event hitting balls while using a TrackMan, no one bats an eye. Take the device to a public-access course and you are guaranteed to draw a few looks.
Even most teaching pros don’t bring a TrackMan to the range, so I caught more than a few members stealing glances my way as I set mine up at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
Golfers always look for a magic bullet, something that will transform their game from mediocrity into something that better resembles what they see on TV.
